The event is one of three fundraising events the Relief Engine Company puts together every year, according to the event’s Facebook page.
With proceeds from this event, as well as the Easter Flower Sale during Easter weekend, and the Build a Scarecrow Station during Fall Day in Moorestown, Relief Engine Company is able to do a number of things that benefit the community. This includes providing their volunteers with recognition and the occasional pizza after a long day of work.

The company has also used the funding to refurbish and maintain one of Moorestown’s first fire engines, a 1922 Arrons Fox, and provide treats for children during the Christmas Parade on Main Street.
“It’s the hope of Relief Engine Company this event will become an annual event, bringing together neighbors and volunteers to share in common interest and possibly assist in the development of new ones,” the company said in the Facebook post.
