Route 73 Reopens After Crash In Burlington Co.

The highway was shut down for nearly a day after police say a vehicle took down a pole and wires.

MOUNT LAUREL, NJ — Route 73 reopened early Friday morning after a crash that took down a pole and wires shut down the roadway in Mount Laurel, officials said.

A driver hit the pole Thursday morning on Route 73 and Fellowship Road. The area reopened to traffic at about 3:45 a.m. Friday — a few hours earlier than a prior estimate of 7 a.m.

No injuries were reported in the crash, but the accident brought major traffic disruptions to the area. Several roads connecting to Route 73 were shut down or diverted, as were connections from Interstate 295 and the Jersey Turnpike.
