MOORESTOWN, NJ — Moorestown resident Jaclyn Barnes writes that she is eager to vote for school board candidate Melissa Arcaro Burns in the Nov. 2 elections because she has spoken up in support of children who attend Moorestown Public Schools, among other reasons. To the Editor:

As a Moorestown parent and frequent school volunteer, I am eager to vote for Melissa Arcaro Burns for Board of Education in the upcoming election. Melissa's dedication as a parent, volunteer, and attorney in our community is evident, and she is committed to creating safe and welcoming schools for every student and family.

I have volunteered alongside Melissa many times on the Trustees level of Home and School. I have watched her listen to students, parents, and teachers share how they hope to help students grow and learn.

And I have seen, first-hand, her speak up to ensure our children can live fulfilling lives at our schools and receive a quality education.

There is no doubt Melissa understands the many issues facing the school district and Board of Education, and is committed to bringing people together to do what is best for all students.

I believe she will be a true advocate for our children, and as a mother of two, I look forward to seeing Melissa move our school community forward and help shape our children’s lives.

I urge my neighbors to vote — by mail or in person — for Melissa Arcaro Burns for Board of Education.

Jaclyn Barnes
