Your Moorestown Home Could Appear In A Movie: Here's How

The township wants to accommodate filmmakers. To do that, it needs to gather locations that could potentially appear in productions.

MOORESTOWN, NJ — Want to get your Moorestown property featured in a movie or TV series? You'll have that chance as the township applies for "film-ready" designation.

Film Ready New Jersey offers communities the chance to attract filmmakers. Municipalities can apply through a five-step process to achieve the designation, which enables cities and towns to show they can effectively accommodate on-location filming.

Moorestown is currently applying and needs to identify at least 15 locations as potential destinations for motion-picture or television productions. Your home or business could be one of them.

The township also must provide a list of local resources from businesses for any production company that wants to film in Moorestown. Potential businesses include caterers, food trucks, restaurants, lodging, construction supplies, car rentals and security services.

To join the local-resource list, contact Flynn with your business's name, address, phone, email address and applicable website/social media.

Film Ready New Jersey is a state-run program, which fully launched last spring. The initiative is among the state's efforts in recent years to attract filmmakers to the Garden State. Last month, Gov. Phil Murphy approved a bill that expanded New Jersey's film and digital media tax credit.
