MORRIS TWP., NJ—Police officers in Morris Township will wear purple ribbons in their uniforms during October to help support domestic violence victims and raise awareness of domestic abuse.
Morris Township Police Chief Mark DiCarlo said the idea was a "terrific initiative in order to demonstrate support for domestic violence victims and awareness."
Officers will wear the ribbons throughout the month, and DiCarlo's department urged anyone experiencing domestic abuse to go to their local police or contact https://www.jbws.org/.
