Residents and outdoor workers battled the heat Tuesday as temperatures reached 90 degrees in Morris Plains and Morris Township.

According to the National Weather Service, thunderstorms are expected to move through the area Tuesday night with more expected on Wednesday when temperatures are forecast to reach the mid-80s.
