'Beauty And The Beast' Hits Stage At Morristown's Mayo PAC

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A "tale as old as time" unravels on the Mayo Performing Arts Center stage this weekend, as a troupe of young actors presents "Beauty and the Beast."
This classic tale of romance and enchantment is based on the Disney animated film, and full of colorful characters, detailed sets, and beloved musical numbers.
"Beauty and the Beast" features several dozen young performers ranging from ages 7 to 25, the theater said. It is MPAC's 10th annual spring musical production, with past musicals including "Hairspray," "Mary Poppins," "West Side Story," "Grease," "School of Rock," and "Shrek."

The full-length musical runs for two and a half hours with an intermission, and is suitable for ages 6 and up.

- Friday, May 31 at 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, June 1 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
- Sunday, June 2 at 12 p.m. (sensory-friendly performance) and 5:30 p.m.
Tickets range from $29 to $49. The show is directed by Cathy Ray, with musical director Charles Santoro.
