Beloved Morris County Restaurant And Bakery Closes Abruptly
Adam's Family Restaurant in Budd Lake was a local favorite, serving breakfast, lunch and other American classics.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — Adam's Family Restaurant and Pancake House, which has served countless Budd Lake and Morris County residents, has officially closed its doors.
The restaurant, best known for its hot, fresh bagels made daily, announced abruptly on social media on Saturday, July 29, that the following day would be its last official day open.
"Thank you to all of our customers over the years. We would like to make everyone aware that tomorrow will be our last day at Adam's family restaurant. We have loved serving our local Mt Olive community and making many friends over the years," the restaurant wrote.

Located at 41 US-46 in Budd Lake, the restaurant started as Adams Bagels many years ago but, due to its popularity, expanded to include a full bakery and restaurant with a complete breakfast, lunch and dinner menu.
The news of the closure came as a shock to its customers, with one commenter saying, "Seems awfully sudden," on Facebook and another asking, "Why is this happening overnight?"

There has been no official word on what will happen to the building or why the business closed down.
The closure was only confirmed on Monday afternoon, with the company stating that they love their Mount Olive family and will miss everyone, but that they are now officially closed.
While in operation, Adam's Family Restaurant and Pancake House had a party room as well as a separate party area for those special occasions, as well as catering options for outside events.
