State Trooper Taken to Hospital After Route 287 Crash in Morristown

Delays mounted for about an hour Monday morning.

A single-car crash on Route 287 north in Morristown closed the northbound side of the roadway Monday morning and created delays for nearly an hour.

The vehicle was a New Jersey State Trooper patrol car being driven by an on-duty officer, Spokesman Sgt. Williams said. The trooper complained of pain after the wreck and was taken to nearby Morristown Medical Center, Williams said.

Traffic website 511nj.org reported the crash occurred in the area of exit 36B around 11:14 a.m.
