Child Predator Sentenced After Luring Kids In Morris Co. Neighborhood
The 43-year-old was found guilty in May on several sex-related charges involving minors.
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Passaic County man who was found guilty of attempting to lure minors to have sex with him has been sentenced to prison, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office announced.
Brian Stewart, 43, originally from Clifton, was sentenced to prison last week after he was convicted of a slew of charges, including luring, endangering the welfare of a child, and attempted aggravated sexual assault.
In March of 2024, officials from the Boonton Township Police Department opened an investigation into Stewart after receiving a tip regarding child exploitation on the internet.

The investigation revealed that Stewart had been having sexual conversations on KIK Messenger under the username “Brian Being Brian,” with individuals he “reasonably believed to be children.” He then tried to lure those children to a public meeting place in Boonton Township to have sexual intercourse.
Stewart was charged, and after a three-day trial in May, was found guilty.

He was sentenced last week to 15 years in prison. He must serve 85 percent of his sentence before he is eligible for release, and will be subject to parole supervision for life.
