Residents will have to wait a little longer for their chicken sandwiches.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — After originally aiming for an early 2019 opening, Chick-Fil-A is now looking to open in Morris Plains in the second quarter of 2019. It's the company's first Morris County location.
A spokesperson confirmed that the restaurant is now looking to open between April and June. "We look forward to sharing information about the franchise owner, job opportunities and grand opening details in the future," Tiffany Simmons said.
The restaurant will be located in Briarcliff Commons, at the Littleton Road and Route 10 intersection. The restaurant is expected to have a drive-thru.
