Community Event Aimed At Combating Opiate Epidemic Coming To Randolph: Morris Prosecutor

The scope of the problem, how lives are being affected, and what is being done to confront the epidemic will be discussed, police said.

MORRISTOWN, N.J.– The Morris County Prosecutor's Office will be offering a free community event in Randolph entitled "Chasing the Dragon: Confronting the Opiate Epidemic in our Communities."

The presentation is slated for Nov. 2 from 5-9 p.m. at Meadow Wood Manor, 461 Route 10.

Speakers include Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp, Assistant Prosecutor Brad Seabury, medical and law enforcement professionals, and experts in the treatment and prevention fields.

The scope of the problem, how lives are being affected, and what is being done to confront the opiate epidemic will be discussed, according to Knapp.

There will also be a screening of the U.S. Department of Justice and FBI-produced film "Chasing the Dragon: The Life of an Opiate Addict."

The event was coordinated by the Morris County Department of Human Services and the Community
