County College of Morris Student Art, Literary Magazine Wins National Awards
CCM's student art and literary magazine, The Promethean, won gold in the American Graphic Design award competition.

RANDOLPH, N.J.– The County College of Morris' student art and literary magazine, The Promethean, received its 12th consecutive gold award in publication in the American Graphic Design award competition.
For the fifth straight time, the magazine also received a silver award in the same category in the American Inhouse Design awards.
The two programs, sponsored by Graphic Design USA, place the student-produced publication against work produced by major design firms.

Roughly 6,000 entries were submitted and The Promethean was among the 15 percent to be selected for the second award.
“I am very proud of our students,” says Kathleen McNeil, adjunct professor of design at CCM who serves as faculty advisor for the publication. “It’s nice to receive this national recognition for the quality of the visual and literary work produced by CCM students.”

The staff of the gold-winning 2015-16 edition: Jacobo Aristizabel (Whippany); Elizabeth Comings (Denville); Sabine Formanek (Basking Ridge); Alexandra Paterson (Mount Tabor); and Sandra Stites (Randolph).
The staff of the silver-winning 2014-15 edition: Paula Bevacqua, (Cedar Knolls); Perry Capalakos (West Caldwell); Kylie Eckert (Succasunna); Bobbi-Lyn Herda (Dover); and Wassana Techadilok (Philadelphia).
