Crash Kills Morris County Man After Car Strikes Tree: Police

The crash took place on I-295 North in Mercer County. A 22-year-old Morris Plains resident was killed.

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — A Morris County man was killed after his car veered off the roadway while driving on Interstate 295 in Mercer County on Sunday morning, authorities said.

Cameron Boyle, 22, of Morris Plains, was driving northbound near milepost 63 in Hamilton Township around 3:45 a.m. when his vehicle veered off the roadway to the right, according to Detective Jeffrey Lebron from the New Jersey State Police.

Boyle, who was driving a Honda, hit a tree and concrete bridge support.

Lebron said that Boyle died of injuries sustained in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation, and police said that there are no further details available.
