Woman, 70, Hospitalized In Crash With Tractor-Trailer On Route 46
The roadway was closed in both directions for hours as a result of the crash.
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A 70-year-old woman was left seriously injured after she crashed her car into a tractor-trailer on Route 46, causing significant delays, according to police.
On Thursday, around 5:30 a.m., Mount Olive police responded to reports of a crash on Route 46 near the Kia car dealership.
Police arrived to find that a 2014 Toyota Rav 4, driven by the woman, had crashed into a tractor-trailer that was backing into a business to make a delivery. Officials added that the Toyota had the right-of-way at the time of the collision.

The 70-year-old woman was left seriously injured and trapped in her Toyota as a result of the crash. First responders were eventually able to remove her from the car and rushed her to the Morristown Medical Center for treatment.
Route 46 was closed in both directions for roughly four hours as police investigated the crash.
