Bicyclist Dies After Hit By Car In Morris County

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A bicyclist died in the hospital Monday night following a fatal car crash, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

On Monday, around 6:15 p.m., Roxbury police responded to a report that someone riding a bike was hit by a Kia Soul on Route 46 eastbound, east of Berkshire Valley Road.

Police found a 42-year-old bicyclist, conscious, suffering from a head injury, authorities said.
The bicyclist was taken to the Morristown Medical Center for treatment and died overnight, according to authorities.

Officials added that the driver of the Kia stayed on the scene of the collision and is cooperating with the investigation.
