Deer Hunt Will Close Lewis Morris Park 8 Days This Winter
Anyone without a hunting permit cannot enter the park on these days.

MORRIS, NJ — The Lewis Morris County Park will be closed on eight different days this winter for deer hunts, the Morris County Park Commission said.
The park, which includes parts of Morris, Mendham, and Harding, will be closed on select weekdays in November, December, January and February for a firearm hunt of white-tailed deer. All hunters must be permitted, and applications for permits are now closed.
The hunt has been implemented annually since the early 1990s. In addition to Lewis Morris Park, Black River will be closed for several days for a firearm hunt. Other county parks will see bow and arrow hunts, and will remain open for those.
