Drugs, Underage Drinking Arrests In Morris Co. Parks: Police

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — The Morris County Park police made several arrests in mid-January, including for suspected cocaine and underage drinking in local parks. Read about those arrests, as written by Park Police, here:

-1/16: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for an equipment violation in Mount Olive Township. An investigation led to Jeanettsa L. Vega-Brodt, age 32, of Newton, to be charged with Possession of Controlled Dangerous and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was released with a court date pending.

-1/18: ARREST FOR WARRANT: Officers executed a motor-vehicle in Morris Plains. An investigation revealed Javin A. Ward, age 41, of Wharton, to have a warrant for failure to appear in Dover Joint Municipal Court. He was released with a new court date pending.

-1/19: ARRESTS FOR NARCOTICS: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop for an equipment violation in Randolph Township. An investigation led to Walter R. Mendez-Hernandez, age 21, of Morristown, to be charged with Possession of Narcotics (suspected Cocaine); Norkis-Yarley Andino-Matamoras, age 19, of Morristown, to be charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession and/or Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage by Person Under the Legal Age; and a 15-year-old juvenile to be charged with Hindering Apprehension and Possession and/or Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage by Person Under the Legal Age. They were all released with court dates pending.

-1/20: ARREST FOR NARCOTICS: Officers executed a motor-vehicle stop in Jefferson Township. An investigation led to Vadym Vozniuk, age 23, of Jefferson Township, to be charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was also found to have an N.C.I.C. Warrant from the U.S. Secret Service and lodged in the Morris County Correctional Center pending extradition.
