MORRISTOWN, N.J.– An international consulting, engineering and design firm will be conducting a traffic survey in Morristown, officials said.

The survey will be used to "study and analyze the municipality’s mobility patterns and improvement needs, with the end goal of alleviating congestion, improving safety and developing strategies for future growth," according to Direct Development Public Relations Coordinator Susie Sefcik. "The objective of the study is to identify the flow of all forms of transit throughout Morristown’s roadways and issue recommendations to address the need for improved efficiency and safety."

The town council unanimously awarded the survey contract to Arup, which proposed a 10-month project, according to Sefcik.
