Child Porn Distributing NJ Cop Sentenced
The former cop distributed more than 100 files of child porn on a popular messaging app.
MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A former police officer who distributed child pornography has been sentenced to prison, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
Anthony Kelly, 37, of Ledgewood, formerly a Dover police officer, was sentenced to four years in prison for his role in child pornography distribution.
The sentence comes after Kelly admitted in June to distributing more than 100 files of child pornography. He was charged with one count of distributing child sexual abuse materials.

The charge stems from an investigation following six tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The investigation revealed that between July 2024 and October 2024, Kelly had distributed more than 100 pictures and videos depicting child sexual abuse via Kik, a popular messaging app.

Kelly was arrested and charged on Nov. 26, 2024.
Kelly will be required to register as a sex offender and be subject to parole supervision for life when released, as per Meghan’s Law.
