Niche.com has come out with its 2017 rankings of the top 100 private schools in America, as well as the top 100 private schools in New Jersey.
Six New Jersey schools made the list of the 100 best private schools in the United States.

Delbarton, an all-boys Catholic school, ranked fifth on state list and 82nd overall in America.

Villa Walsh, an all-girls Catholic school, was No. 18 on the state list, followed by the co-ed, independent school Morristown-Beard at No. 25.
Academy of St. Elizabeth, an all-girls Catholic school founded in 1860, was 47th.
