Incumbent Republican Freeholders Sweep Morris County Election

Voters re-elected the slate of Doug Cabana, Tom Mastrangelo and Kathy DeFillippo, according to the results.

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J.– Voters re-elected Republican incumbents Doug Cabana, Tom Mastrangelo and Kathy DeFillippo in the Morris County Freeholder race, according to the unofficial results provided by County Clerk Ann Grassi.

DeFillippo of Roxbury was the leading vote-getter with 115,870. Cabana of Boonton and Mastrangelo of Montville earned 114,388 and 114,001 votes, respectively.

The Democratic challengers – Mitchell Horn of Montville, Rozella G. Clyde of Chatham and John Von Achen of Parsippany – were unable to change the status quo.

Democrats haven't won a county office in more than three decades, according to NJ.com.

Horn received 74,692 votes. Clyde was right behind him with 74,651 while Von Achen tallied 71,354.
