After being defeated on Tuesday against Montville on the road, Morristown girls lacrosse is looking ahead to the state tournament on Thursday.
There was much excitement Monday night after the girls defeated Randolph for the first time, which continued their perfect season.
However that ended the following day. Coach Evan Mager said that up until Tuesday's loss, the girls had not lost a single game among the seven teams that make up their southern conference.

“We need to figure it out going into state because in playoffs, any team can play,” said Mager. “Everybody needs to realize that it’s one (bad) game and you go home. Luckily we have a day tomorrow to prepare. We’re ranked fifth in the conference so we have a home game, which is Thursday at 4:30 p.m.”
On Thursday, the Colonials go up against No. 12 Vernon.
