Morris Co. Government Buildings To Close For ‘Security Exercise’
Some residents' court dates may be affected by the partial closure.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morris County government buildings will be partially closed this week for what officials are calling a “planned security exercise.”
On Thursday, from Morris County Courthouse will be closed from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the Morris County Administration Building will be closed from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The Morris County Administration Building will reopen to the public at 1:30 p.m. for “non-court county business only,” officials added.

Court staff will be available by phone from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 862-397-5700, with all matters to be heard virtually after 1:30 p.m. Urgent proceedings will be heard before 11 a.m. or virtually after 1:30 p.m.
County officials also ask that anyone seeking a temporary domestic violence restraining order between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. make their application to the Morristown Police Department or to their local police department.
