Morris County Prosecutor's Office Reaccredited by NJSACOP
New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police presents prosecutor's office with reaccreditation certificate on August 24.

The Morris County Prosecutor's Office earned accreditation once again from the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police (NJSACOP).
Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp received the certificate of accreditation yesterday at the Morris County Freeholder’s work session meeting from the NJSACOP Accreditation Program Manager Harry J. Delgado.
The NJSACOP Accreditation Program, which is a plan to maintain optimal standards at all agencies across the state, consists of one hundred and five (105) professional standards. Many of these standards, in areas like administrative function, investigative function, and arrestee handling, have multiple objectives.

The accreditation process requires 3 years of internal analysis and ensures that policies and procedures are current, reflect societal demands, and are consistent with best practices for law enforcement in the state of New Jersey. The accreditation does expire and the process will begin again in three years.
