Morris County Is Seeking Correctional Police Officers
Sheriff James M. Gannon is encouraging men and women to consider a career in the New Jersey criminal justice system.
MORRISTOWN, NJ —Morris County needs motivated men and women to join the Sheriff's Office Bureau of Corrections.
The available positions are within the Mount County Correctional Facility, which is one of two jails in the state to be accredited by the American Correctional Association and the National Commission on Correctional Health Care. Only 145 county jails in the entire United States hold that accreditation.
Current employees of the New Jersey Department of Corrections and Juvenile Justice Commission are also encouraged to apply. The Sheriff's Office Bureau of Corrections is offering paid vacation, sick leave and holidays, and benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insurance.
