This Morris Plains Italian Spot Was Named One Of The Best In NJ

MORRIS PLAINS, NJ — Where can you find excellent Italian food? With so many great options in the Garden State, you’re likely to get a different recommendation every time.

However, one restaurant in Morris Plains has been recognized as one of the best Italian eateries in the state for 2024, according to a recent report.

The website Best of NJ put together a list of the best Italian restaurants in New Jersey, and Morris Plains' Verde Ristorante ranked as one of the top North Jersey spots.

"Verde has lofty ambitions, aiming to be “the epitome of culinary excellence” among so many incredible Italian restaurants," the website wrote.

Located at 1012 Tabor Road, Verde Ristorante has been serving authentic Italian cuisine to Morris County for nearly 20 years, featuring a menu crafted by the restaurant's head chef, born and trained in Italy.

Verde Ristorante offers an elevated take on classic dishes, such as their Pesto Rigatoni, which is enhanced with shrimp and crab meat. Other menu highlights include Linguine with Clam Sauce, Veal Sorrentino and an eight-ounce filet mignon, served with mashed potatoes.

Verde Ristorante is open daily from Tuesday through Saturday, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Sundays from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.
