Surrender Of Emaciated, Sick Dog Leads To Charges For Morris Woman: Report
A woman has been accused of not giving food and water to the dog, who had reportedly been used to breed puppies and was covered in sores.

HANOVER, NJ — Police in Hanover Township charged a woman with animal cruelty after she surrendered a neglected and injured dog to Animal Control in April, a report said.
A worker with Flanders-based Eleventh Hour Rescue said that an animal control officer contacted them about the dog, a one-year-old female pit bull called Pebbles, on April 17.
The Eleventh Hour kennel manager went to meet the dog for an assessment, and said Pebbles had sores and burns on her body, and her ribs were clearly visible. The rescue group said Pebbles was used for breeding, though she is "hardly more than a puppy herself," and the owner surrendered her.
