Morristown Earns New Name On WorldAtlas.com
Morristown beats out other New Jersey towns for a special title on WorldAtlas.com.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Morristown is New Jersey's best small town for retirement, according to WorldAtlas.com.
Between historical reenactments at Fort Nonsense (a strategic battle site during the American Revolution), the Morristown Festival on the Green each September, and the Guinness Collection of Mechanical Musical Instruments, Morristown never lets its 20,000 residents run out of things to do.
WorldAtlas took notice and named Morristown highest on the list of best towns for retirees.

"Morristown’s affordability and safety also rank high among the reasons why retirees choose to settle down here," as WorldAtlas says on its site. "Average crime rates are also significantly lower than major urban centers, giving retirees immense peace of mind."
Retiring in Morristown is not without its obstacles, including the average housing cost of approximately $800k, according to Zillow. But on the positive side, according to Morris County's Board of Taxation, Morristown has seen a decrease in tax rates from 2023 to 2024, dropping from 2.906 to 1.575.

Another highlight is the Morristown Medical Center, which WorldAtlas points out is frequently ranked among the best hospitals in New Jersey.
