Morristown Brunch Spot Named Best In New Jersey, Report Says
A local eatery has earned a spot on Best of NJ's latest list of the top brunch restaurants in the state.
MORRISTOWN, NJ — From stacks of golden pancakes to bottomless mimosas, brunch is serious business in New Jersey. And if you're looking for the best of the best, one Morristown eatery is leading the pack.
Best Of NJ recently updated their "Best Brunch Spots In New Jersey" for 2025, and on the list is South+Pine American Eatery.
"The fresh seasonal menu at South + Pine means there is always a reason to come back," Best Of NJ writes. "When it comes to brunch, patrons can look forward to soups that change daily, spicy lamb meatballs, and avocado toast."

Located at 90 South Street next to the Mayo Performing Arts Center, South+Pine American Eatery serves a seasonal menu of American fare, including vegetarian and gluten-free options, in a rustic bistro setting with outdoor patio seating.
The restaurant, which opened its doors in Morristown in 2015, was founded by chef and owner Leia Gaccione, a protégé of celebrity chef Bobby Flay. Since then, Josh Meza has taken over as Chef de Cuisine, according to the restaurant's website.

What sets South + Pine apart for its local patrons is its commitment to sourcing fresh and high-quality ingredients by partnering with local farms in the Morris County area.
Their brunch menu combines classic dishes with creative twists, such as the Short Rib & Winter Veg Hash, served with poached local eggs and chipotle hollandaise. Other favorites include Polenta Fries, Buttermilk Pancakes, a unique take on chicken and waffles with a cornflake crust, sour cream and chive waffle, local bacon, and maple syrup, as well as a classic breakfast burrito.
For drinks, they offer the classic mimosa, along with a unique Cream Soda made with fresh clementine, milk, and vanilla bean.
The eatery also encourages patrons to BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle).
South+Pine American Eatery serves lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., brunch on weekends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and dinner Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with extended hours until 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
