MORRISTOWN, NJ — Polls for Morristown's General Election have closed, and results are beginning to stream in.

Mayoral Race

Three people are vying to become the Mayor of Morristown.

On the ballot is Democrat incumbent Tim Dougherty, who has served as Morristown’s mayor since 2010.

Republican challenger Bruce Meringolo is on the ballot, bringing experience as the Mayor of Long Hill Township.

Finally, running independently is local business owner and Morristown Planning Board member Andrea Lekberg.

*Dougherty, Democrat — 3,026 votes
Meringolo, Republican — 1,321 votes
Lekberg, Independent — 798 votes

  • Celeste Kaitsa, Republican — 1,554 votes
  • Aaron Oliver, Republican — 1,543 votes
