New Greek Gyro Shop Opening Soon In Morristown

Morristown will soon welcome a new Greek gyro shop.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — Opa! Morristown is about to welcome a brand new restaurant.

Kalimera Gyro, a restaurant focusing on Greek street food, has announced plans to open up at 30 Morris St., taking over the former home of Effin Egg.

The breakfast spot, known for its creative takes on favorites like tacos, burritos, and bowls, opened just over a year ago but has decided to close its doors permanently as of Sept. 1. Effin Egg in Morristown was the third franchise of the Effin Egg restaurant chain, which also has locations in Georgia and New York City.

According to a social media update, the team behind Kalimera Gyro is currently renovating the space on Morris Street in preparation for their opening.

Once open, the restaurant will offer Morristown a "taste of Greece" in every gyro. Their menu will be available for catering, takeout, delivery and dine-in.
