Pet Disaster Relief Trailer Coming to Morris County Tuesday

The trailer will be unveiled as part of National Night Out.

MORRISTOWN, NEW JERSEY — A new pet disaster relief trailer is being introduced in Morris County Tuesday night. It will help pets and their owners find shelter if a disaster occurs. The trailer offers a safe, temporary home-base for at least 65 pets immediately after a disaster is declared.

The purchase of the trailer was made possible through more than $24,000 in donations and grants. No Morris County taxpayer dollars were used to buy it, according to the Morris County Office of Emergency Management.

The project is a partnership between local dog organizations, AKC Reunite and the Morris County Office of Emergency Management.
