Popular Bakery Chain Expands Operations To Morristown

The new bakery and café will bring Tatte's famous blend of artisanal pastries, savory dishes, and coffee to Morristown.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A Boston favorite is set to win over the hearts of Morristown residents this spring as Tatte Bakery & Café expands its presence in New Jersey.

The popular bakery chain, with around 27 locations across Massachusetts and 16 in the D.C. metro area, will open its newest store in Morristown, beneath M Station at the Sanofi building on Morris Street.

While details remain limited, the new venture is slated to open later this spring, tentatively in May, according to officials.

Although Tatte is relatively new to the New Jersey scene—with its first location set to open in Ridgewood—the concept has already made a name for itself in Boston, where it was founded in 2007 by Tzurit Or.

Tatte's vision has always been rooted in simplicity: to bring people together around great food and pastries while creating a sense of comfort and belonging, Or said.

The bakery and café serves a variety of comfort foods, including pastries, croissant breakfast sandwiches, and shakshuka and will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The menu features all-day breakfast items, tartines (bread with toppings), bowls, plates, sandwiches, soups, salads and a gluten-free selection. Brunch is served on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and coffee, tea, and other beverages are also available.

The café is currently hiring for its Morristown location, including an Assistant General Manager and a Café Head Chef.
