Popular Boba Chain Sets Opening Date For New Morris County Location

ThirsTea will host its soft launch today and tomorrow, with its official opening set for this weekend, marking the chain's debut in NJ.

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A popular bubble tea chain with locations nationwide is set to open a new shop right here in Morris County this weekend.

The Taiwan-based tea store, ThirsTea, will have a soft launch on Thursday and Friday before officially opening to the public on Saturday at its new location at 192 Parsippany Road, inside the Green Hill Plaza in Parsippany, officials said.

ThirsTea, known for its creative and customizable beverages, first opened in 2019 in Temecula, California. The brand quickly became popular among boba lovers, offering a diverse menu that includes milk teas, smoothies, milkshakes, slushies, rolled ice cream and more.

In just four years, ThirsTea has rapidly expanded, now operating six locations across California, Texas, and Nebraska. The company recently announced its further expansion, accepting franchise applications in select states, including New Jersey.

The Morris County restaurant will be ThirsTea's first New Jersey location.

ThirsTea will host its soft opening on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by its grand opening on Saturday and Sunday, both from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

As part of its grand opening, ThirsTea will offer a buy one, get one free promotion on drinks Saturday, and a buy two, get one free deal on Sunday.

ThirsTea's signature drinks include the Rose Matcha Milk Tea, Brown Sugar Milk with Boba, Strawberry Shortcake Slushie, and Masala Chai Tea—each with a creative twist on classic favorites.
