Popular Toast Cafe Announces New Location In Morristown

Toastique, a chain specializing in gourmet toast and juice, plans to open a new location in Morristown this winter.

MORRISTOWN, NJ — A gourmet toast and juice bar chain that is rapidly expanding across the country has finalized plans to open up in Morristown.

Toastique is set to open this winter at 70 Speedwell Avenue, occupying one of the vacant retail spaces in Valley National Bank's new headquarters. The health-focused restaurant will breathe new life into the empty space, offering a fresh dining option and complementing existing tenants like the coffee shop Ethan and the Bean.

Toastique, as the name suggests, serves gourmet toasts as well as juices, smoothies and smoothie bowls. The restaurant can accommodate any dietary restrictions, including gluten-free and vegan.

All of their juices and wellness shots are cold-pressed daily in-house, officials said.

Toastique is opening at Valley National Bank's headquarters, which has replaced a series of vacant structures spanning five lots on Speedwell Avenue, according to SJP Properties.

The property includes about 120,000 square feet of office space, floor-to-ceiling windows and skyline views. Operable glass walls open to three outdoor terraces. The first floor features a lobby entrance with soaring ceilings, along with 14,500 square feet of available retail space, a portion of which will house a new Valley retail banking branch.

“Morristown has experienced a synergistic resurgence in demand from retail tenants such as Toastique due to increased daytime foot traffic attributed to the workforce presence at the Valley Bank headquarters as well as Deloitte and soon Sanofi at SJP’s M Station,” said Alexander Erdos, Senior Vice President, Leasing and Development at SJP Properties.

Toastique, a fast-casual eatery known for its unique healthy sandwiches, is rapidly expanding as a franchise.

Founded in 2018 in Washington, DC, by entrepreneur and former college athlete Brianna Keefe, Toastique emerged from her lifelong passion for health. Keefe, who started making smoothies and juices in high school, developed a menu featuring unique toasts, including her signature avocado toast.

Since 2018, Toastique has expanded to over 15 locations across Washington, D.C., Colorado, Utah, New Jersey and Florida.

Menu favorites include the Avocado Smash, which features avocado, marinated tomatoes, watermelon radish, and chili oil on multigrain toast; the Smoked Salmon, which features smoked pastrami salmon, herb cream cheese spread, and thinly sliced cucumbers; and the Three Cheese Italian.
