Prosecutor: Call To Tip Line Lead To Arrest Of Randolph Man In Paterson Hit-And-Run
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said that Robert Sciubba of Randolph struck a 29-year-old pedestrian in Paterson before fleeing.
PATERSON, N.J.– An anonymous call to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office led to the arrest of a 46-year-old Randolph man who hit a pedestrian with his truck in Paterson, authorities said.
The Prosecutor's Office put out a press release seeking information regarding a Sept. 27 hit-and-run near Madison Avenue and 16th Avenue, said Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes.
Police received a call from someone who recognized the vehicle – a Ford F-150 pickup truck – which belonged to Robert Sciubbia, Valdes said.

The 29-year-old female pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was treated at St. Joseph's Hospital, the prosecutor said. The woman has since been released from the hospital, she added.
Scuibba was charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious bodily injury and his bail was set at $35,000, Valdes said.

The incident is still under investigation.
