Rt. 80 West Closed Due To Ice: NJ DOT

ROCKAWAY, NJ — Route 80 westbound is closed due to icy conditions, NJ DOT said.

UPDATE: Rt. 80 has been reopened for the Friday morning commute.

NJ DOT announced the closure about 4:40 p.m. All lanes are closed in Rockaway near Exit 37. Drivers are being detoured and can expect 15-20 minute delays.

That's not the only traffic trouble around the county. Issues include disabled cars, volume delays, and construction:

• As of 4:33pm, there's a Disabled vehicle on I-80 westbound West of Exit 42 - US 202/Littleton Rd in Parsippany-Troy Hills Twp. Right shoulder closed.
• As of 4:26pm, there's a Disabled vehicle on I-280 eastbound West of Exit 1W - New Rd in Parsippany-Troy Hills Twp. Right shoulder closed.
• As of 4:23pm, there's a Disabled vehicle on NJ 10 eastbound In the vicinity of US 202 in Morris Plains. Left lane closed.
• As of 4:19pm, there's a Disabled vehicle on I-80 eastbound East of Exit 35 - Mount Hope Av in Rockaway Twp. Center lane closed.
• As of 4:16pm, there's a Disabled vehicle on I-80 eastbound ramp to Exit 35 - Mount Hope Av in Rockaway Twp. Partial ramp closed.
• As of 4:35pm, there are Delays on I-287 in both directions between Exit 33 - Harter Rd/US 202 in Morris Twp and Exit 41 - I-80 in Parsippany-Troy Hills Twp.
• As of 4:15pm, there are Delays on US 46 eastbound between NJ 159/Bloomfield Av in Montville Twp and NJ 3 in Clifton.
• As of 4:10pm, there are Delays on NJ 24 westbound between West of Exit 7 - NJ 124/JFK Parkway in Chatham and I-287 in Hanover Twp.
• As of 4:09pm, there are Delays on NJ 24 eastbound between Exit 2 - CR 510/Columbia Turnpike in Hanover Twp and I-78 in Springfield Twp.
• As of 7:42am, there's Construction on I-80 westbound between Exit 30 - Howard Blvd in Mount Arlington and Exit 27 - NJ 183/US 206 in Roxbury Twp. All lanes shift until 11:59 P.M. on December 31, 2018, (exit 27 traffic must use the right lane).
