Vigil Set In Morristown To Remember Orlando Massacre Victims

Multi-faith event to begin at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Church Of The Redeemer on South Street.

MORRISTOWN, N.J. – A multi-faith vigil is set for Wednesday night at Church of the Redeemer in Morristown to remember the 49 innocent people killed at a nightclub in Orlando over the weekend.

The vigil welcomes all and will be held at the church, located at 36 South Street in Morristown, the house of worship announced on its Facebook page.

Bishop Mark Beckwith will be one of the speakers, the post said.

The Gay Activist Alliance Of Morris County (GAAMC) and Moms Demand Action will be on hand as well.

Omar Mateen, of Florida, was identified as the man who entered Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando Saturday, and took patrons hostage for hours before killing 49 people. He was ultimately killed as well.
