Officials are investigating the murder Wednesday of a 29-year-old city man, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office announced Thursday.
Emmanuel Williams was shot multiple times along the 100 block of Jeliff Avenue around 8 pm, said Katherine Carter, an Essex County Prosecutor’s Office spokesperson. Police said Williams ran to Avon Avenue and collapsed. He was pronounced dead at University Hospital at 8:28 pm.
