Essex County College Hiring Adjunct Professors

Essex County College will hold an Adjunct Faculty Job Fair on Tuesday, Aug.  20 from noon to 7 pm.The fair will be held in the Physical Education Building at the main Newark campus, 303 University Ave.

The college is seeking adjuncts in all its for-credit programs, including online and hybrid courses, leading to associate degrees. The college’s academic divisions include Mathematics & Physics, Humanities, Biology & Chemistry, Bilingual Studies, Social Sciences, Nursing & Allied Health, Business, and Engineering Technologies & Computer Sciences. ECC offers classes during the fall and spring semesters, along with winter intersession, and two summer terms.

Available classes are taught during the day, evenings, weekends and online.  

Prospective adjunct faculty will be able to discuss with the divisional chairs and program coordinators openings at both the Newark and West Essex campuses. Most positions require a master’s degree, and some positions also call for other certifications.

However, upon hiring, an official copy of the transcript will be required for submission to the Department of Human Resources. Also, attendees should bring any licenses or certifications where applicable.
