For over 33 years, QXT’s has given fans of Alternative Music a place to spend their Friday and Saturday nights. Each night offers a variety of musical genres including Alternative, EDM, New Wave, 80s, 90s, Industrial, Dark Wave, Goth, Goth Punk, &amp; Rock. Additionally, QXT's offers KARAOKE, Open Mics, Burlesque, Drag Shows, live concerts (both for National as well as local bands) along with an awesome space to celebrate special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, engagement parties and so many more There’s the Main Dance Floor, and two additional rooms which have been dubbed Area 51 and The Crypt. Each come with a diverse musical flare, and a plethora of characters and personalities to compliment the inviting atmospheres. All three spaces include a bar, giving Patrons plenty of options for enjoying a drink in whichever space they find themselves most comfortable in. We have also opened our kitchen, serving fresh and delicious food.

A 24-year-old Newark man was arrested Tuesday and charged with stabbing another city man to death earlier this month on Fabyan Place, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office and Newark police announced.Aaron Lynch faces murder and weapons charges stemming from the July 13 incident, which claimed the life of Antaquan Williams, 28.Lynch is being held at the Essex County Correctional Facility on $350,000 bail.
