Police Arrest Man Wanted for September Murder

Victim was found shot near South Orange Avenue corner

Newark police Tuesday arrested a city man wanted for the murder of another city man late last month.

Members of the department’s fugitive apprehension team captured Dawan Ingram, 18, in the 200 block of Roseville Avenue around 7 am. Ingram was believed to be hiding at an address there, police said.

A warrant had been issued for Ingram in connection with the murder of Najee Montague, 21, who was shot near South Orange Avenue and Salem Street Sept. 21. Montague later died at University Hospital.
