Port Authority Project Will Ease Delays at Newark Liberty
Agency plans to add more taxiways.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is spending nearly $100 million for improvements at Newark LIberty International Airport intended to reduce delays at one of the nation’s busiest hubs, The Wall Street Journal reported.
The bistate agency plans to construct four new taxiways that will shave seconds off each flight, cumulatively saving air travelers significant time by allowing multiple planes to stage for departure at the end of runways.
The project is scheduled to begin next year.
