Report: Bus Driver Caught Masturbating Behind the Wheel

A NJ Transit bus driver from Newark faces reckless endangerment, lewdness and other charges after a rider shot video of him masturbating as he drove through the Lincoln Tunnel last month, The New York Daily News reported.

George Simpson, 41, began masturbating as he approached the tunnel’s toll plaza on the night of June 24, the Daily News reported. The woman who shot the video on her cell phone is a librarian from Manhattan and was a passenger on the bus, which was bound for the Port Authority Bus Terminal from Carteret.

A spokesman for NJ Transit said Simpson, who has worked for the agency for two and a half years, has been “removed from service without pay” for his “disturbing and grossly irresponsible conduct.”
