The Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission (PVSC) has announced several upgrades to its Ironbound facility expected to create nearly $500,000 in energy savings annually and making te plant more efficient.
“We’re excited to announce that PVSC has undertaken these four important projects to save energy, become more efficient, and save the rate-payers money,” said PVSC Executive Director Michael DeFrancisci.
The agency, which serves millions of customers in northern New Jersey, may also qualify for funds under a program compensating losses caused by Superstorm Sandy. The plant sustained heavy damage during the storm last October.
