Where to Stay Warm in Essex County

As freezing temperatures blow into town, Essex County is prepared to help all residents in need stay safe and warm.

For the first time since the procedure was implemented on Dec. 30, Code Blue will help prepare the county’s most vulnerable residents for the hazardous and dangerous conditions outside.

The forecast for the next several days includes a chance of snow with temperatures ranging from a high of 27 degrees to a low of 5 degree and wind chill temperatures being below 10 degrees.

Code Blue will remain in affect until Friday, Jan. 9 at 9 a.m., creating a network of warming stations at community organizations around the County. A complete list of warming stations is listed below, courtesy of NJ 211.
