Work in Hudson County to Affect Pulaski Skyway Traffic
Construction part of ongoing rehabilitation of 80-year-old span

New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials announced Friday that several ramps from Tonnelle Circle to Route 139 eastbound in Jersey City are scheduled to be closed tonight to complete the removal of temporary support structures, and again overnight next week, Monday through Friday, for the replacement of the concrete deck over the new floor beam.
Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday until about 6 a.m. Saturday, the ramps taking traffic from Route 1&9 southbound, Route 1&9 Truck northbound and Route 7 eastbound to Route 139 eastbound and the Holland Tunnel will be closed as NJDOT’s contractor, Kiska Construction, Inc., completes work to remove temporary supports that were needed in connection to a project to replace a floor beam over Tonnelle Circle. There also will be lane closures within Tonnelle Circle with one of two lanes remaining open. These ramps will be closed overnight once again next week, Monday through Friday.
