New Milford Memorial Day Parade is Monday
The town celebrates Memorial Day with dedications and a parade down River Road

New Milford's Memorial Day festivities and parade will be held on Monday, May 28. There will be a Fireman's dedication at Borough Hall at 8 a.m. followed by a dedication at the Jewish War Veteran's memorial at 8:30 a.m. The V.F.W. will hold a memorial service at their post on Madison Ave. beginning at 9 a.m.
, owner of , will be the Grand Marshal of the parade.
The Parade will begin at 9:45 a.m. on River Road by the Senior Center and end in front of Borough Hall.

After the parade, ice pops will be given out to all parade-goers at the Recreation Center behind Borough Hall.
On Thursday, May 31 at 7 p.m. the French cemetary will be open to the public as the cub scouts put flags on the four Revolutionary war soldiers and one civil war soldier buried at the cemetary. The Cemetary is only open to the public on this day, so come out and learn about New Milford's history while paying tribute to the soldiers who are buried there.
