4 Charged In NJ Thanksgiving Casino Stabbing, Suspects At-Large: Cops

A fight and subsequent stabbing at an Atlantic City casino resulted in charges against four New Jersey men, authorities said.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ - A fight and subsequent stabbing at an Atlantic City casino on Thanksgiving resulted in charges against four New Jersey men, authorities said, with three of the four suspects still at-large.

An investigation from the Atlantic City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Section led to the identification of the suspects, with wanted warrants authorized and issued for the following fugitives:

Dante Braxton, 24, of Atlantic City, who is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Jamile Rivera, 29, of Atlantic City, who is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Kamal Allen, 34, of Bridgeton, who is charged with aggravated assault (two counts), possession of a weapon (two counts) and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose (two counts).

One of the stabbing victims, Akbar Pearson, 33, of Camden, has also been charged with aggravated assault. Pearson was issued a summons pending a future court date, police said.

The charges stem from a report of a fight at Harrah’s Resort and Casino at around 1:31 a.m., police said. At the scene, a disturbance in the valet area of Harrah’s was discovered, and police were informed that three individuals had been stabbed/cut.

The victims, Pearson as well as two individuals from Atlantic City who were not identified in a police statement, were all treated on scene before being transported by ambulance to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, police said. None of the injuries were considered to be life-threatening.
